Centre-based Day Respite
We offer a range of day programs that operate Monday to Friday, and run by qualified coordinators.
These programs are great opportunities for older people to socialise with others, play games, and share delicious meals together.
We operate permanent day centres in Glenroy (Kilby House) and Frankston (Hurlingham), and run day programs out of satellite centres in Sunshine and Springvale.

Overnight Respite
Need a break overnight? Benetas offers diligent out-of-hours and extended respite care for your loved one at our dedicated respite centres and Residential Aged Care homes.
For primary carers seeking a longer break, overnight respite care offers a safe and comfortable stay away from home.
Vigilant staff are on call 24 hours a day, and we provide delicious meals throughout the day, while primary carers recharge.
We do everything we can to help your loved one feel at home – including maintaining their usual routine.
Whether they join us for one night, a weekend or several days, our overnight clients often establish fantastic connections with our friendly staff.

Respite in your own home
Discover the convenience of in-home respite care tailored to your schedule. Our personal care workers provide support and companionship, offering you a break while ensuring safety and expert care for your loved one in the familiar environment of your own home.
Imagine you can do those chores that have been on your list or go to that meeting that you’ve got scheduled, while our personal care worker helps your loved one to prepare lunch or put away the laundry.

24-hour Respite Care
When extended respite is needed, such as regular carers are unavailable, consider a stay in a Residential Aged Care home.
Many of our comfortable residential care homes have dedicated rooms for respite clients, offering temporary accommodation with comprehensive care, giving primary carers peace of mind while they take a well-deserved break from their regular carer duties.
You might also consider this type of Respite service after you've been unwell or discharged from a stay in hospital. This is also a good way to try before you buy Residential Aged Care living.

Getting respite subsidised
Are you eligible to receive government-funded assistance? If you are, most of your respite costs will be taken care of with a small co-contribution to be self-funded.
