Anglicare Australia has today released its Rental Affordability Snapshot which highlights that the rental market is failing older Australians.


Benetas welcomes the release of the Aged Care Taskforce’s report and urges the government to implement the changes quickly to support a fairer and more equitable aged care system.


As an industry, we are all acutely aware of the impact that workforce shortages have had on our sector’s ability to meet the growing demand of an ageing population. Benetas is exploring other ways to address workforce issues, by focussing on how we can help our team members to build a career with us.


As an aged care sector, we are seeing first-hand the impacts of workforce issues on our ability to employ and retain quality and credentialed aged care workers.


Benetas welcomes the three recommendations made by the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) to address serious workforce issues facing the aged care sector.


We have trialled apartment-style facilities and recently conducted an extensive review. We are sharing this review in the spirit of collaboration to share with the broader industry an understanding of some of the benefits and challenges we faced.


Data insights can give us a better understanding of where we are now and open the door for diagnostic and predictive analytics.

The Federal Government announcement of $17.7 billion for aged care services in response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety has been heralded as the single largest investment in aged care and the largest in response to a Royal Commission in Australia’s history.
