Our development of a new seniors living health and ageing precinct in the Macedon Ranges continues to attract attention from the local community. Below is an update to share how each of these projects are progressing.

The Gisborne Men's Shed has once again built an amazing cubby house to be raffled with all proceeds going to the Gisborne Foodbank.

Our first residents have now moved into St John’s Rise retirement living located in Mooroolbark.

Benetas St Paul’s Terrace residential aged care home in Frankston is fortunate to have a couple of kind hearted toy makers in the home. Resident Maria Hollway has a knack for knitting and a compassionate heart as she has spent the last few weeks knitting Trauma Teddy’s for the children in Frankston Hospital Emergency Department.

Benetas Pastoral Care practitioners have needed to pivot from their usual work in order to meet the increased demand for support.

The residents at Corowa Court aged care home on the Mornington Peninsula were delighted to receive a surprise delivery from the children at Devon Meadows Primary School recently, with bundles of hand crafted drawings and letters providing them with a sense of connection during lockdown.

Monica Fitzpatrick, known as Bonnie, celebrated the milestone of one hundred years young on 8 October. Bonnie marked the occasion at Benetas aged care home St Laurence Court Kangaroo Flat, surrounded by friends and then later with her family.

Benetas is supportive of the mandated vaccine for residential aged care employees to ensure that those we care for who are most vulnerable to COVID-19 are protected.

The Traralgon Pastoral Care team from Victorian aged care provider Benetas had to significantly adapt to tackle the challenges that COVID-19 brought in providing much-needed support to older Australians.
